THE WORK BEHIND THE PROJECT.
A clear overview of the project scope, delivery approach and final outcome.
A high-performance industrial system delivered with precision
This project involved the replacement of an ageing Electrostatic Precipitator inlet wall filter system, a critical component for emissions control, environmental compliance and long-term plant performance.
ESP inlet wall filter replacement
In-house design, fabrication, transport and installation
Improved efficiency, reliability and maintainability
Tusker delivered a complete end-to-end solution for a complex industrial environment, replacing an inefficient system with a bespoke modular inlet wall designed around site constraints, operational requirements and long-term durability.
The system was fabricated off site and transported to the facility as abnormal loads before being assembled and installed during a coordinated shutdown window. This approach helped reduce installation risk, minimise crane time and support a smoother programme on site.
Scope of works
- Bespoke ESP inlet wall filter system design
- Off-site fabrication of modular steel components
- Specialist insulation and custom aluminium cladding works
- Abnormal load transport to site
- Crane lifting and installation using in-house designed lifting beams
- Replacement of drag chains, bearings and associated mechanical servicing
Project outcome
- Delivered a high-performance replacement for a critical emissions control system
- Improved particulate capture, reliability and long-term maintainability
- Reduced plant downtime through coordinated shutdown works
- Completed safely, on time and within budget
- Recognised with an Irish Steel Award in 2025
